Some moments in life can’t be recreated. They happen once, and then become part of who we are.
Ten years ago, I photographed Erin and Dan on their wedding day. Like most couples, they wanted the day captured exactly as it felt: real, unposed, and full of energy. My job was to preserve those moments so they could always look back and remember what it felt like to be there.
A decade later, they reached out to me for an anniversary shoot. Seeing them now, after ten years of life together, was a reminder of why I do this work. Photography gives us the rare chance to see time itself, and to hold on to what would otherwise slip by.
Erin shared these words after our session:
“10 years ago, we chose Eric as the photographer for our wedding. His ability to capture images and the moment aligned with exactly what we wanted to remember our day. After the nightmares we heard from friends, we were thrilled to start getting images only days after our big day!
Eric delivered in every way on the photos of our wedding; they are something we cherish. Every year on our anniversary, my husband and I take some time to walk through our photos and remember our favorite moments of our best day—Eric captured them all beautifully.
Last week, we hired Eric to do another photoshoot to help us commemorate our 10-year anniversary. He had great ideas to take the most advantage of the light and the landscape. He encouraged our whimsical and sometimes silly selves—putting us at ease through the entire session. The pictures turned out phenomenally (we had them only days later!). My husband can’t stop saying how great they are, and our friends and family have had rave reviews pouring in! 10/10 would use again – can’t wait for the 20th anniversary photoshoot!”
Hearing that means a lot. Not just because it’s a kind review, but because it tells me the images did what they were meant to do. They’ve lasted. They’ve become part of their story.
As a photographer, I’ve learned that milestones like this—weddings, anniversaries, family portraits—aren’t just events. They’re markers in time. The light, the look, the feeling in the air…you only get it once. My goal is to make sure it’s captured honestly, so ten years later, you can still see and feel what that day meant.

If you’re ready to start capturing your story—whether it’s your engagement, wedding, or anniversary—I’d be honored to document it. Because these moments don’t happen twice.
