The 2024 wedding season is in full swing, so there’s never a better time than now to book engagement and wedding photography, especially if you have a specific date in mind. Maryland wedding vendors are filling up fast, if they aren’t already fully booked for the year!
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings throughout Maryland (and beyond, for destination weddings) in venues that could all be in competition for #1 favorite.
A photojournalistic approach to wedding photography
My take on this type of photography? Authenticity. My photojournalistic approach is to pursue images that are pure and honest portraits that tell a story of the events as they really happened and go far beyond traditional wedding poses. Collectively, your wedding images will be a documentary of real moments in time that would be impossible to recreate.
I believe that wedding photography should be a balancing act between respecting the ceremony and still getting the shots. I’m never the photographer who is in your face with a camera. I blend in and take photos from a respectable distance.
Formal and informal shots are equally welcome in any fully developed wedding photography plan. Capturing moments before, during, and after your ceremony are a great way to make sure that your whole wedding experience is well represented.
