If you’re a fan of tall ships like classic Maryland sailing vessels, then you cannot go wrong with spending some time aboard the Pride of Baltimore II. Maryland Tourism Coalition announces the annual Pride of Baltimore II Fundraiser to celebrate the beauty of the pride and the art of sailing, all while generating needed funds for her upkeep and operation. As a member of the Maryland Tourism Coalition, I’m proud to be on the scene to provide professional photography of the event – so I’ll be there and I hope to see you there, too. Another MTC member, Phillips Seafood, will be their food partner.

A Maryland must-see: Pride of Baltimore II

Nicknamed Pride II, this gorgeous ship was launched from her Inner Harbor birthplace on April 30, 1988, and commissioned on October 23, 1988, at Brown’s Wharf in Fells Point. Since then, Pride II has sailed over 250,000 nautical miles and visited more than 200 ports in 40 countries around the world. Each season the vessel visits dozens of ports of call, welcoming more than 100,000 people for private sailing charters and dockside receptions; deck tours and day sails; youth programs; and overnight guest crew experiences

Special Events and Wedding Receptions aboard the Pride of Baltimore II

For engaged couples looking for a unique and fascinating location to host your reception or wedding portrait sessions, consider the Pride of Baltimore II as a fantastic option. Dockside, the ship provides a truly nautical and historical backdrop for a stunning series of pictures that you’ll treasure forever. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few special occasions here and it goes to the top of the list if you’re shopping for spots to include in your special day around Baltimore.

I love spending time aboard and around the Pride of Baltimore II. Take time to hang out at the Fundraiser event and capture the feeling of one of Maryland’s most beautiful ships – you’ll be glad you did! I’m also proud to be a partner of the Maryland Tourism Coalition, which truly works hard to promote business, offer professional development activities, and have a strong economic impact for the benefit of all Marylanders.
