Images from a trek throughout the region of Patagonia
As a photographer, taking a trip abroad is guaranteed to include photography moments – as they always say, “have camera, will travel.” As seasoned travelers, we love to experience the adventure as well as the stunning views. Soaking it up in person exceeds every expectation, followed closely by capturing images that ensure an unforgettable time. This trip was no different.
Patagonia is a picturesque (and rugged) region that spans Chile and Argentina. Sitting at the southern end of South America itself, we were within range of Antartica!
This area is characterized by its phenomenal landscapes featuring towering mountains, expansive glaciers, crystal-clear lakes, and vast grasslands. Every viewpoint takes your breath away (almost literally, given the altitude). Patagonia is made from the southern section of the Andes mountains and the deserts, steppes and grasslands east of this southern portion of the Andes. With two coasts – a western one towards the Pacific Ocean and an eastern one towards the Atlantic Ocean – there is not one area that doesn’t knock your socks off.

Photojournalism and capturing the moment with Eric Stocklin Photography, LLC
It’s clear that photography can help us capture moments in time that would otherwise be only in memory. More than that, images of all kinds help us tell a story of where we’ve been and what we’ve seen. The same is true of life’s moments, like celebrations or important events. Photojournalistic experience like this creates opportunity to look ahead with confidence that new moments can be saved and relived.
